03: Statement On The Suffocation Of Bicol University Students

We hope and pray that all Bicol University (BU) students who suffered from suffocation during the unfortunate Hataw 2025 colored smoke bomb incident are now in better condition. BU officials must stay true to their word and ensure that the affected students are properly cared for and that their medical needs are addressed—including any potential long-term effects of this traumatic experience.

This negligence, which puts the health and lives of students in danger, is unacceptable. We demand a swift and thorough investigation into what transpired, to hold those responsible accountable. Hindi na dapat maulit ang ganitong mga insidente na naglalagay sa mga estudyante sa peligro. Sa bawat plano, okasyon, polisiya, at aksyon ng mga paaralan, higit sa anupamang mga konsiderasyon, prayoridad dapat lagi ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ng mga mag-aaral.
